One Pair is where a players is able to match two cards from the five which an example of this hand is: Two of Clubs, Two of Diamonds, Eight of Spades, Queen of Clubs and the Ace of Hearts.
High Card is virtually what the title describes and is the lowest hand that is possible in any game of poker with the highest card the player has being the one that is used at the end of any game and an example of this is : Ace of Clubs, Jack of Diamonds, Ten of Hearts, Seven of Spades and the Two of Clubs.
